The definitions on the home page give you the definition of eco adventure vacation, but what really is an eco adventure vacation? I think that one of the premises of an eco adventure vacation is that it makes you smile :-)
What is it about planning a vacation that makes one smile? We decide for whatever reason that we are going to take a trip. Then we either research to determine where we are going to go or we dive into the particulars of what we are going to do. Either way, it seems we do all of these things with a smile on our faces.

Do we smile because we are looking forward to the new experiences? Do we smile because we are looking forward to running away for a brief period of time? Is it because we are going to get to spend time with family and friends? Do we look forward to the adventure of it all? Do we look forward to trying all the food and drinks at different places along the way? Is because we have wanted to take this particular trip for an extended period of time?

In the scheme of things who really cares? Each time I plan a vacation I am almost as giddy as my three year old son when he knows he is going to get on an airplane and go see his grandparents. I have to be careful how far in advance I tell him about a trip so that I do not have to hear about it every waking moment. But you just can’t beat that kind of excitement – it is contagious.
